FAQ

Are DualShock and DualSense controllers listed as supported?
Yes. Both support labels appear in the official Steam AppDetails response checked September 7, 2026.
Why can I not switch from gamepad back to keyboard?
The developer lists a fix for that input-lock issue in 0.8.6. If it persists, report the build and reproduction steps rather than assuming all input failures share that cause.
Does full controller support guarantee a specific button layout?
The support label does not provide a binding chart, PlayStation icon guarantee or device-by-device test result. Use the bindings and prompts shown by your installed build.

Does Breathedge 2 support a gamepad?

Yes. Steam lists full controller support, plus DualShock and DualSense support. The official AppDetails listing was checked September 7, 2026.

Those labels answer whether controller support is advertised. They do not identify your active Steam Input configuration or guarantee every peripheral combination.

Which input problems have an official fix?

Hotfix 0.8.6 fixes gamepad-to-keyboard switching and an invisible menu cursor with a yoke, wheel or pedals connected.

SymptomUseful first check
Keyboard stops responding after gamepad inputConfirm the game includes the 0.8.6 fix
Cursor disappears with simulation peripherals connectedRetest with only the intended input device
Two actions happen from one pressRecord connected devices and active input profiles
Only one menu or interaction failsRecord the exact screen or object, rather than “controller broken”

The last two rows are diagnostic checks, not claims of confirmed game bugs.

How do you isolate a remaining controller problem?

Exit the game before changing your test setup. Connect one intended controller, launch again, and try the same sequence: navigate a menu, enter the game, move, and interact with a familiar object. Note the first action that fails.

For a second comparison, use keyboard and mouse with the controller disconnected. This helps distinguish a game-wide interaction failure from an input-specific issue. It does not prove that unplugging a device is a permanent fix.

Record whether the controller is connected by USB or Bluetooth and whether you use a custom input profile. Change one variable per retest. If you change connection, profile and game settings together, you will not know which difference affected the result.

What belongs in an input bug report?

Include the controller model, connection method, other connected input devices, the game build, and the button/action pair that fails. If a prompt shows the wrong symbol but the action works, say that explicitly.

Use the official report procedure. For keyboard-layout problems, also name the layout: the patch tracker records the developer’s AZERTY acknowledgement separately.

Does controller support establish Steam Deck or console support?

No. Use the checked PC platform requirements for the Windows release. A controller feature label should not be treated as a console announcement or a Steam Deck compatibility test.

For the current playable scope, see the Early Access guide.
