Can you play Breathedge 2 in Chinese?

Yes. Simplified Chinese is listed for the interface and subtitles. That covers the text-support question; it does not mean the dialogue is dubbed in Chinese.

What should you check if the game starts in English?

Steam’s language-settings guidance explains that individual games may use a language independent of the Steam client.

1. Check the language options available in the game’s menus.
2. In Steam Library, open Breathedge 2’s Properties and look for a language selector. If present, select Simplified Chinese and allow any required files to finish downloading.
3. Restart the game after applying a change.
4. Check a menu, an item description, and a scene with dialogue. A translated menu alone does not demonstrate that subtitles are enabled.

These are diagnostic checks based on Steam’s general guidance. The exact Breathedge 2 menu path has not been captured for this guide. If Properties has no language selector, that step does not apply.

Why can Chinese text appear with English or Russian speech?

Interface, subtitles, and audio are separate support columns. A Chinese subtitle paired with another spoken language is consistent with the listing. Missing subtitles, overlapping text, or a sentence left untranslated are different problems and deserve a precise report.

Before reporting, distinguish an absent voice track from missing text. Include the selected text language and audio language separately. That helps identify whether the problem is a setting, one translation string, or an entire dialogue sequence.

What makes a translation report useful?

Record the exact quest or item name, the text displayed, the expected meaning, and where it appears. A screenshot should include enough of the menu or dialogue to identify the string. For clipping, also record resolution and UI scale if that setting is exposed.

Use the in-game bug report steps to send the issue. If an English walkthrough uses unfamiliar quest names, match the object and objective counter as well as the translated wording; the Chapter 1 route gives the progression context.

Before starting, check the PC requirements. After a patch, the update tracker is the place to check for a documented language or interface fix.
